Luma derives from a fascination to see technology as a design partner. A chosen input, an unexpected outcome. It functions as a way to serve designers in their process. It shows the quality of imperfection and questions the control of a designer. It establishes a feedback method of working between the tool and the designer through the ability to choose what to work with and not.
The installation is build up from multiple screens linked to an arduino, through which designs can be sent. Through multiple cameras it is linked back to the computer and both captured screens are layered on top of each other in processing. By making use of the designed control panel you tweak the values of the given input and create random imagery which you can capture again by screenshotting the image.
